There is More To Do But . . .  Look What Your Donations Have Accomplished in 2018

This year’s White Sulphur Springs Ranch fundraiser was attended by over 300 happy guests at the Ranch overlooking the beautiful Mohawk Valley. The Mohawk Valley Stewardship Council (MVSC) presented its 9th annual event to aid in the restoration of this property. This year’s entertainment featured the popular Comstock Cowboys from Virginia City. They looked like a posse from the old West, complete with authentic garb including pistols and spurs. The last time they appeared at Summerfest was in 2015. As usual they brought some of their fans from Virginia City where they appear regularly at the Bucket of Blood Saloon. The weatherman cooperated as Sunday the 25th seemed to be the first day of a cooling off period. About 80 volunteers worked like crazy to put on a ranch barbecue dinner, live and silent auctions and all kinds of special features. There was a portable saloon, a buy a brick campaign, a wine trunk winner and shuttle service to and from the huge parking area. New volunteers are always needed and if you think you want to participate in the restoration of this historic property call volunteer chairwoman, Judy Porep-Lullo at 530-836-0254. Port-a-Saloon is a portable draft beer bar that can be rented for weddings and other special events. The proceeds from rentals support restoration of White Sulphur Springs Ranch.
